About The Position

Markstone Group is hiring reliable, hardworking individuals to join its snow removal team and help keep commercial properties safe, clear, and accessible throughout the winter season. This physically active outdoor role involves clearing sidewalks, entrances, and other designated areas on commercial properties. Depending on experience and assignment, work may involve shoveling snow by hand or operating sidewalk equipment such as skid steers or sidewalk tractors. Shifts may take place in the early morning, late evening, or overnight, depending on weather conditions.

Requirements

Strong work ethic and reliability during snow events.
Ability to work in challenging winter weather and perform physical labour.
Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation.
Cell phone with a data plan.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts during snow events.
Safety-focused approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in snow removal or operating small equipment; experience is not required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

Shovel snow from sidewalks, entryways, and designated areas.
Safely and efficiently operate sidewalk equipment, such as skid steers or sidewalk tractors, when assigned.
Apply salt or ice melt as needed for safety.
Respond promptly during snow events and work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions.
Perform basic equipment and tool checks and report any issues to supervisors.
Work collaboratively with crew leads and team members to complete routes on schedule.
Follow company safety protocols and wear appropriate winter gear.
