About The Position

The General Laborer assists with daily operational duties at the facility and supports operations at a retail supply location. The role includes facility and equipment maintenance, inventory and product distribution, driving and delivering products, and stocking and moving warehouse materials. The employee supports operations personnel, helps maintain the facility and company image, contributes to efficiency and cost reduction, provides customer service, and works with the location manager on safety and compliance matters. The position follows applicable GROWMARK policies and procedures, including its Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements. It may involve local errands, extended hours as business conditions warrant, and participation in required training. Employment is contingent on applicable acceptable background, drug, driving-record, and/or reference checks.

Requirements

Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill-development abilities.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Be willing to obtain and maintain a forklift certificate and a CDL.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training.
Able to move up to 100 pounds.
May be required to work at varying heights and use appropriate safety measures around dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

Assist with operations at the retail supply location.
Follow the maintenance schedule for the facility and equipment.
Assist with inventory and product distribution.
Drive and deliver miscellaneous products as requested.
Stock and move warehouse products and materials.
Assist full-time and part-time operations personnel.
Maintain the facility, equipment, and company image.
Help achieve goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Provide excellent customer service.
Work with the location manager on safety and compliance issues.
Follow applicable GROWMARK conduct, compliance, environmental health and safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
Drive and run local errands as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
