About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Laborer to join our GROWING team at Turkey Creek Landfill at Alvarado, TX. The pay is $18.00 per hour working 50-55 hours a week. Requirements

Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise
One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

Checking trucks in and out of the landfill and directing traffic at site as necessary.
Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable.
Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
Install temporary wind fences as required.
Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
Working outside in all weather conditions.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
