About The Position
Basalite Building Products, LLC is hiring a General Labor employee to support its block and paver departments and production operations. Under the supervision of the Paver/Block Superintendent, the employee performs assigned production duties and demonstrates the company’s Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. Other related duties may be assigned. This is a regular, full-time position with open shift availability required, paying $20.00–$21.50 per hour depending on experience (DOE). Employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening; a background check and/or credit check may also be required depending on the position.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- On-the-job training experience to perform the duties.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high-stress situations.
- Ability to operate a block machine, cuber, loader, unloader, crawler, and other equipment required to perform the duties.
- Predictable and regular attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing production machinery experience.
Responsibilities
- Observe machines while they are running.
- Monitor the cubing line for proper functioning.
- Check the loader, unloader, and block transporter (crawler).
- Operate the batching system to produce quality products.
- Attend safety meetings and follow company and governmental safety rules.
- Report hazardous conditions and ensure they are corrected.
- Follow company rules.
- Maintain predictable and regular attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
