About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is hiring a General Labor employee to support its block and paver departments and production operations. Under the supervision of the Paver/Block Superintendent, the employee works in all areas of production and supports the company’s core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. The position also performs other related duties as assigned.

The role requires on-the-job training, reliable attendance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a regular, full-time position with an open shift availability requirement. Compensation is $20.00–$21.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• On-the-job training experience is required.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Ability to operate the block machine, cuber, loader, unloader, crawler, and other equipment required for the duties.
• Predictable, regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing production machinery experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe machinery while it is running.
• Monitor the cubing line to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Check the loader, unloader, and block transporter (crawler).
• Operate the batching system to produce quality products.
• Attend safety meetings and follow company and governmental safety rules.
• Report and help correct hazardous conditions.
• Follow company rules and maintain predictable, regular attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
