About The Position

General labor employees work at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products. Their performance affects productivity, product quality, food safety, and labor efficiency. Employees are expected to work safely, consistently, and efficiently to help reduce waste, avoid errors or contamination, minimize downtime, and keep production running smoothly. The role requires working in a poultry-processing environment with exposure to wet floors, varying temperatures, noise, dust, feathers, and processing chemicals, while using required protective equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Ability to work with others in a close environment.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Remain in a stationary position and on feet for the entire shift.
• Use tools such as scissors, knives, and/or power tools for the duration of the shift.
• Climb steps and access and egress through the production environment.
• Repetitively handle weights of 8 to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work at various production-line stations processing poultry food products.
• Process products according to operating procedures and quality expectations.
• Follow safety requirements, including PPE use, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in Company and department safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
