General Labor Traveler Store Remodels
About The Position
SPAR is hiring dependable, hardworking laborers for its overnight construction team to support store remodels at major home improvement retailers. The role involves traveling to retail locations throughout the Midwest and East Coast, often staying overnight for extended periods, and working as part of a team to assemble and handle steel and pallet racking. Candidates should be eager to learn, comfortable using basic tools, and able to perform physically demanding work. The position pays $18 per hour and offers ongoing, long-term project work. Company-paid travel time and hotel accommodation (double occupancy), mileage reimbursement, meal per diem, tolls, and approved expenses are covered. SPAR Marketing Force works with national retail stores to manage new store setups and full store remodels. Requirements
- Reliable vehicle for regional travel and a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
Responsibilities
- Assemble pallet racking, cantilever racking, and shelving.
- Anchor assembled products according to specifications.
- Operate a scissor lift during assembly as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free work area.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by management when not installing.
- Travel to job sites that require overnight stays.
