About The Position

SPAR is hiring dependable, hardworking laborers for its overnight construction team. The role involves traveling to retail locations throughout Midwest and East Coast states for extended periods to support store remodels for major home improvement retailers. Laborers work as part of a team assembling and handling steel and pallet racking, shelving, and other materials inside retail stores. Overnight shifts and overnight stays are required as needed.

The position pays $18 per hour and offers ongoing, long-term project work. SPAR covers travel time, hotel accommodation in double occupancy, mileage reimbursement, meal per diem, tolls, and approved expenses. Daily Pay is available, with payment 3–5 days after the first day worked. SPAR also offers free enrollment in a sponsored benefit and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Reliable vehicle for regional travel and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pallet racking, cantilever racking, and shelving.
• Anchor assembled products according to specifications.
• Operate a scissor lift during assembly as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free work area.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management when not installing.
• Travel to job sites that require overnight stays.
