General Labor Traveler Store Remodels
About The Position
SPAR is hiring dependable laborers for an overnight construction team supporting store remodels for major home improvement retailers. The role involves traveling to retail locations throughout the Midwest and East Coast, often for extended periods and with overnight stays. Team members assemble and handle steel and pallet racking and shelving inside retail stores. The work includes overnight shifts and may involve operating a scissor lift. SPAR provides ongoing, long-term project work and pays $18 per hour. The company also covers travel time, hotel accommodation (double occupancy), mileage reimbursement, meal per diem, tolls, and approved expenses. Daily Pay is available, with payment 3–5 days from the first day worked. SPAR also offers a sponsored benefit with free enrollment and career advancement opportunities. SPAR Marketing Force works with national retail stores to manage new store setups and full store remodels. Requirements
- Have a reliable vehicle for regional travel and a valid driver’s license.
- Be willing to travel and stay overnight as needed.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Have experience using hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Be able to lift or move objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Assemble pallet racking, cantilever racking, and shelving.
- Anchor assembled products according to specifications.
- Operate a scissor lift during assembly as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free work area.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by management when not installing.
- Travel to job sites that require overnight stays.
