About The Position

SPAR is hiring dependable, hardworking laborers for its overnight construction team. This role involves extensive travel for extended periods to retail locations throughout the Midwest and East Coast, helping teams execute store remodels for major home improvement retailers. Workers assemble and handle heavy steel and pallet racking inside retail stores, with opportunities to learn and use basic tools. Overnight stays are required as needed.

The position pays $18 per hour and offers ongoing, long-term project work. SPAR covers travel time, hotel accommodations (double occupancy), mileage reimbursement, meal per diem, tolls, and approved expenses. Requirements

• Reliable vehicle for regional travel and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pallet racking, cantilever racking, and shelving.
• Anchor assembled products according to specifications.
• Operate a scissor lift during assembly as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free work area.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management when not installing.
• Travel to job sites that require overnight stays.
