About The Position

This position may work in any role within Tyson’s Processing or Harvest department. Processing work takes place in an extreme cold and wet environment, with temperatures ranging from 33–49°F, and may involve handling meat products, using knives and hooks to bone or trim product, operating powered equipment such as saws, Whizard knives, or skinner machines, or bagging and boxing products. Harvest work takes place in an extreme hot, wet, and humid environment, with temperatures ranging from 80–100°F, and may involve handling cattle products, using knives and hooks to remove hides or trim product, or operating powered or heavy equipment. The team member must complete required training and perform other duties as assigned. The role requires the ability to perform the position’s tasks, work the stated shift and schedule, including Saturdays, and be available for overtime. Employment offers are conditional on proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and passing a urinalysis screening as part of the post-offer health assessment.

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability and willingness to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to perform the tasks of the assigned position.
• Must be available to work A Shift, 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including Saturdays, and be available for overtime.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States.
• Must pass a urinalysis screening as part of the post-offer health assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work in positions assigned within the Processing or Harvest department.
• In Processing, bone out or trim product using a knife and hook, operate powered equipment, or bag and box products, depending on assignment.
• In Harvest, remove cattle hides or trim product using a knife and hook, or operate powered or heavy equipment, depending on assignment.
• Complete all required job training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
