About The Position

The General Labor I position supports a variety of manufacturing operations. Previous manufacturing experience is not required; a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment are important. Depending on assignment, work may include mixing products, weighing or scaling materials, packaging materials, or supplying production lines. Employees must be reliable and follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), which vary by facility and may restrict items such as artificial nails, eyelashes, nail polish, or jewelry when producing or packaging food products.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have sufficient math skills.
• Be able to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about GMPs or willing to learn.
• Be able to stand and work with hands throughout the shift.
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Be able to work together and communicate respectfully and professionally in a team environment.
• Be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products for quality and signs of foreign material contamination.
• Supply production lines as needed.
• Place products correctly on lines or in containers, boxes, or pallets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
