C&D Technician

About The Position

The C&D Technician performs general labor activities supporting water distribution and sewer collection sites. The role includes repairing and maintaining water, wastewater, and drainage facilities; conducting scheduled inspections; performing lawn and garden maintenance; and maintaining parts and supply inventory. It also involves cleaning office spaces and working all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call duty.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
Ability to follow manuals and operating instructions.
Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Ability to work with required tools, including a jackhammer and demolishing saw.
Comfort working in and around water and raw sewage.
Communicates clearly and professionally, contributes to a positive customer experience, helps others, and maintains composure in challenging situations.
Pays attention to detail, identifies and solves problems, escalates issues appropriately, and checks work for quality.
Works well with supervision, completes projects, follows company policies and SOPs, and manages multiple tasks.
Demonstrates a positive attitude, acts in accordance with company values, takes accountability for performance, and is willing to take on additional assignments.
Frequently lifts 50–80 pounds; loads, unloads, and moves large equipment and tools; accesses confined spaces; and continuously walks and climbs stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain items at water, wastewater, and drainage facilities.
Conduct scheduled inspections.
Perform lawn and gardening maintenance and repairs.
Shovel dirt and gravel.
Maintain inventory of parts and maintenance supplies.
Clean offices, including vacuuming, sweeping, trash pickup, and bathroom and kitchen cleanup.
Work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call duty.
Perform other duties as required.
