Part-Time General Food Service-NO WEEKENDS!
About The Position
Creative Dining Services is hiring a part-time General Food Service Worker at the Wolverine Worldwide location in Rockford, Michigan. The role performs a range of duties involved in preparing and serving food and beverages in food-service environments. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays are on-call/as needed, and Fridays are off. No weekends or holidays are required. The wage is $18.00 per hour. Creative Dining Services partners with colleges, universities, Fortune 100 companies, full-service senior living communities, conference centers, and K–12 schools and camps to provide hospitality and facility management services. Requirements
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to communicate in and understand the primary language or languages used by guests who typically visit the work location.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Some food-service or food-preparation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up food-service, kitchen, or salad-area facilities, equipment, and utensils according to area needs and detailed instructions; check food temperatures and prepare areas for daily operations.
- Operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
- Prepare or assist with preparing hot and cold meals and coffee beverages.
- Serve food items from counters or steam tables according to instructions and portion requirements.
- Replenish food, silverware, glassware, dishes, trays, and condiments at serving stations as needed.
- Assist with setup and preparation for catering events within the building.
- Clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment, as appropriate; collect and dispose of garbage and trash in designated containers.
- Assist with dishwashing as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
