About The Position

The General Factory Worker performs a range of manufacturing and production duties, which may include material handling, parts washing, forklift operation, and welding. The role involves setting up and operating industrial equipment, inspecting and sorting manufactured parts, maintaining quality standards, completing required documentation, and supporting other operators. The worker must follow company policies and safety practices and may perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to use all required gauges and gauging techniques.
• Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of required operator documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to identify causes of routine problems and correct them.
• Ability to use math skills for blueprint reading and statistical process control (SPC).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and machine requirements sufficient to perform basic, repetitive work assignments.
• Ability to provide written communication as needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must comply with company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.

Nice To Haves

• Some mechanical or technical training.
• Forklift operation or material-handling experience.
• Experience operating multiple types of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Set up and operate equipment as required, including a Butt Welder, Wire Drum, Straightener, and other industrial equipment.
• Perform first-piece inspections, monitor part quality, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Sort and inspect manufactured parts.
• Complete required documentation.
• Move material by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Suggest process improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
