About The Position
The General Construction Laborer supports commercial construction work, including loading and unloading building materials, demolition, grading, removing construction materials from worksites, and digging and trenching. The role requires familiarity with basic construction hand tools and adherence to required safety practices, including wearing all required PPE on the construction site. The job is located at a government site and requires a background check.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of continuous commercial construction work experience.
- On-the-job safety training with a licensed commercial contractor.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more.
- Good attendance and reliability.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation.
- Experience with and knowledge of basic construction hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload building materials.
- Perform demolition and grading work.
- Remove construction materials from the worksite.
- Dig and trench.
- Complete assigned tasks.
- Wear all required PPE while on the construction site.
