About The Position

McLemore is a professional cleaning company with more than 55 years of industry experience, operating in 25 states. The General Cleaner performs routine cleaning and maintenance duties in assigned buildings, follows safety and chemical-use procedures, and completes assigned work within the scheduled shift. This role is available full-time or part-time on the second shift.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and clean buildings by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning assigned surfaces.
Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use for hazards.
Use cleaning solutions appropriately to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Use only approved cleaning chemicals, wear required personal protective equipment, and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces.
Clean and service restrooms using mops and proper disinfectants.
Move heavy furniture as needed to vacuum or sweep underneath.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and complete work within the allotted time.
Identify and report equipment repairs needed to ensure equipment is maintained.
Cross-train on other duties or areas as assigned by the supervisor.
