About The Position

HES Facilities Management is hiring a part-time General Cleaner for a seasonal role running September through May. The position is based at Cornish and is scheduled Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at $21.30 per hour. General Cleaners maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned facility areas. The work is physically demanding and fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks within established production and service time frames. The role may involve working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold. High school education is preferred but not required, and prior cleaning experience is a plus. A background check is required.

Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
Background check required.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and daily upkeep of all assigned areas.
Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, extract carpet, and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and remove snow and ice.
Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
