About The Position

A Janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role involves cleaning building interiors and work areas, maintaining restrooms and supplies, disposing of trash and recycling, and following safety procedures. The position is part-time and scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Peoria, Arizona. Fingerprint cards are requested. The work environment may occasionally involve moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. Noise is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
Follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility for actions, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person of an alternate plan.
Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
Fingerprint cards are requested.

Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and general areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and in other required areas.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Take trash and recycling containers to the disposal area.
Clean trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain cleaning-supply inventory and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precaution rules and use equipment and materials properly.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
