About The Position

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. They perform a range of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. The position involves work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment and requires working efficiently with attention to detail. Employees may be directed to perform additional duties by the custodial supervisor or the supervisor’s designated representative.

Requirements

Excellent work history.
Ability to work with others and take direction.
Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Background check required.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from extreme hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
Extract carpets and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish exterior areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows.
Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
