About The Position

Blue Chip Pros is hiring a General Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned facilities, maintaining clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions and completing other tasks related to the assignment. The role includes cleaning rooms, bathrooms, floors, public common areas, food court areas, and outdoor grounds. Cleaners follow established procedures for dusting, sanitizing, spot cleaning, waste removal, floor care, and restocking dispensers. Other duties may include floor care such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction and bonneting, and floor scrubbing and buffing. The cleaner is expected to inspect completed work, correct issues as needed, provide courteous customer service, work quietly, remain in the assigned work area unless directed otherwise, and report broken or out-of-order items or unfinished assignments to a supervisor. Requirements

Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of basic safe work practices.
Knowledge of using toxic and non-toxic chemicals according to MSDS sheets.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
Ability to communicate sufficiently with co-workers and supervisors.
Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
Ability to maintain the physical condition needed to perform the assigned duties, including extended walking, standing, or sitting; lifting and carrying 1–30 pounds; pushing and pulling with 5–35 pounds of force; climbing stairs and ladders; bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, and fingering.
Sight, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination sufficient to perform cleaning tasks, maintain safety standards, and operate equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

High-dust surfaces above shoulder height, including lights, vents, and ledges.
Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height and spot-clean fingerprints, smudges, and windows.
Clean bathrooms, including sinks and toilets; check and refill soap and paper dispensers as needed.
Empty trash cans, replace liners, and wipe cans when they contain liquid.
Dust or vacuum floors, including beneath furniture, and clean dust mopheads as directed.
Clean and inspect outdoor areas, including ash urns, trash cans, sidewalks, flower beds, curbs, benches, vending machines, window ledges, public-area glass, and parking lots.
Dust mop and spot mop public common areas; clean glass and planters, and periodically high-dust window areas.
Clean and sanitize food court tables, remove trash, return chairs to tables, clean trays using a tray power washer, and police outside eating areas.
Sanitize floors using the proper germicidal solution, cleaning beneath furniture and behind doors.
Inspect finished rooms, check furniture placement, and make corrections as needed.
Clean halls, lobbies, stairs, water fountains, and furniture; perform wall spotting and high dusting daily.
Provide courteous customer service, answer or refer customer questions, and work quietly.
Report broken or out-of-order items and unfinished assignments to a supervisor.
Perform other assigned duties, which may include stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction and bonneting, and auto scrubbing and buffing floors.
