About The Position

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas and perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the facility’s daily upkeep. The role is based at Randolph County Schools and involves working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment while meeting production and service time frames established by the company. The position may be full-time or part-time, with 1st shift, 2nd shift, school-hours, and summer schedules available.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
High school degree preferred but not required; the education requirements section also lists a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum floors.
Extract carpet and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean entry glass and interior glass.
Remove snow and ice.
Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
