About The Position

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. They perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the facility’s daily upkeep and cleanliness. The role is physically demanding and fast-paced, requiring efficient work and attention to detail. Employees must be able to work with others, take direction, and meet the company’s production and service time frames. High school education is preferred but not required, and previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Successful completion of a required background check.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
Extract carpet and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry and interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Remove snow and ice.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or their designated representative.
