About The Position

The General Cleaner is responsible for consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards while cleaning commercial properties. The role requires following the company’s mission statement and values and maintaining a high standard of excellence. Work includes routine cleaning and surgical cleaning in a medical facility, reporting maintenance or property issues, and helping keep supplies and storage areas organized. The listed shift is 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of excellence.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Vacuum.
• Dust mop or sweep hard-surface floors.
• Wet mop hard-surface floors.
• Clean units and areas including restrooms, kitchens, and lobbies.
• Wipe spots and smudges from entry doors.
• Dust horizontal surfaces when they have been cleared.
• Perform high dusting.
• Dust windowsills and blinds.
• Perform surgical cleaning in a medical facility.
• Report unit maintenance issues according to company procedure.
• Report damaged, dirty, or stained carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens.
• Report inventory and supply needs to the Supervisor.
• Report lost-and-found items to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Help keep storage closets clean and organized.
• Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Use time wisely and efficiently.
