About The Position

Programmed Cleaning Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented General Cleaner for a part-time position in the Madison area. The role pays $17.50 per hour and follows an assigned cleaning route. The ideal candidate has previous cleaning experience and can work independently. Reliable personal transportation is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The position involves cleaning offices and other designated areas, including floors, surfaces, glass, and restrooms; maintaining restroom supplies; and following company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Duties and assigned areas may change based on customer or management requirements.

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift while performing assigned duties.
Ability to frequently bend, lift, carry, reach, and extend arms and hands above shoulder level.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team when needed.
Ability to safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals.
Reliable personal transportation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Dust and clean desktops, cabinet tops, partitions, and other designated surfaces.
Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Sweep and mop hard-surface floors.
Vacuum floors using upright and/or backpack vacuums.
Spot-clean carpets as needed.
Clean glass surfaces and partitions.
Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other restroom fixtures.
Clean and maintain restrooms and ensure supplies are stocked.
Polish metal surfaces, including fixtures and fittings.
Follow company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Perform additional duties or work in assigned areas as directed by management or based on customer needs.
