About The Position
Up North Plastics, Inc., a plastics manufacturer, is hiring a Gate Attendant at its Cottage Grove, Minnesota location for the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift. The role involves processing shipments, registering visitors, monitoring and patrolling the grounds, responding to emergencies, and coordinating shift coverage and handoffs. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. Applications are not accepted from candidates in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or California.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Responsibilities
- Scale and release shipments using computer entry.
- Register visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments.
- Patrol the grounds on foot and in a company vehicle as needed.
- Contact police or fire departments in emergencies, such as a fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
- Provide coverage for other gate attendants as needed.
- Complete the daily report.
- Communicate with the relief attendant to ensure a smooth shift transition.
