About The Position
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our collaborative and mission-driven team in Newport News / Hampton, Virginia. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a supportive, patient-centered environment with access to advanced technology, strong referral networks, and a collegial team of specialists. The role involves an outpatient practice with inpatient coverage responsibilities, supported by hospitalists, outpatient physicians, advanced proceduralists, and advanced practice providers. There are also teaching opportunities with residents.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Successful completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Successful completion of fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Valid DEA registration

Responsibilities
- Outpatient practice with inpatient coverage responsibilities
- Collaborate with hospitalists, outpatient physicians, and advanced proceduralists
- Provide support to advanced practice providers in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Engage in teaching opportunities with Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine residents
