About The Position

University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE gastroenterologist to join our clinic in Pleasanton. This is a community-based practice model with access to specialists. The position involves 36 patient contact hours per week, working alongside four other general GI physicians. Clinicians typically see an average of 18-20 patients per day. The call schedule is one weekend of call every 6-7 weeks and less than one call day each week. Surgery procedures are performed at Livermore Surgery Center and Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital in Pleasanton. All hospital consults and services are performed at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital in Pleasanton. There is an opportunity to collaborate with Stanford University School of Medicine GI Faculty physicians, Hepatologists, IDB physicians, and others. The practice offers robust ancillary support staff and serves a diverse patient population.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) gastroenterologist
Full-time availability (36 patient contact hours per week)

Responsibilities

Provide gastroenterology care in a community-based practice model.
See an average of 18-20 patients per day.
Participate in a call schedule of one weekend every 6-7 weeks and less than one call day per week.
Perform surgery procedures at Livermore Surgery Center and Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital.
Handle hospital consults and services at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital.
