Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (Board Eligibility required within 5 years of residency completion)
  • Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Interest in building long-term patient relationships within the community
  • DO, MD
  • Physician - NYS Office of Professions

Responsibilities

  • Primarily outpatient-focused gastroenterology practice with inpatient consult responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
  • Perform endoscopic and procedural GI services
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, surgeons, hospitalists, and specialty teams
  • Opportunity to help expand and shape GI services within the region
  • Minimum of one dedicated procedural/scoping day per week
  • Procedures performed at the Leroy Outpatient Center and Canton-Potsdam Hospital
  • Operating room access available for higher-acuity patients and advanced GI procedures
