About The Position

The Gas Station Attendant is responsible for daily gas station operations, including opening and closing procedures, equipment monitoring and maintenance, assisting members with transactions and payments, and following safety, environmental, and security standards. The role also includes monitoring sales and reports, handling cash procedures, overseeing fuel deliveries, maintaining cleanliness, responding to spills, and keeping station pricing and signage accurate.

The position requires regular, predictable, full attendance. Attendants may be asked to perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. The work involves exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather, occasional exposure to flammable liquids and strong smells, and may include prolonged sitting or standing, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to complete all required training.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Previous gas station operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating a cash register preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and promptly assist members.
• Protect people, property, and the environment while assisting with gas station transactions.
• Monitor gas station sales transactions and handle cash transactions when applicable.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Monitor gas station reporting, ensure reports are generated, and complete gas station checklist procedures.
• Document and address identified issues.
• Accurately complete opening and closing procedures.
• Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
• Oversee fuel deliveries and complete required preparation procedures.
• Follow gas station safety, environmental, and security standards; understand the station’s safety and security features.
• Inform management and the help desk when alarms are present.
• Complete cash drawer procedures, including cash deposits, verification, documentation, and controls.
• Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure posted gas prices and club signage match POS system pricing.
• Follow spill bucket and spilled-material procedures, including immediate response and cleanup.
• Log visitors and obtain proper identification before allowing anyone inside the kiosk area.
• Notify the corporate office of non-routine maintenance vendor visits, including visits by weights and measures personnel, inspectors, and state employees.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Support club policies, procedures, and compliance; act with honesty and integrity and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for members and team members.
• Deliver service excellence, resolve or deescalate member concerns, and uphold GOLD Member Standards.
• Work as a team to meet GOLD club standards, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining accurate signage, and keeping the club clean and organized.
• Understand how to access and read department production or financial reporting and how consistent execution affects business results.
