About The Position

This entry-level team member position in Meijer’s Gas Station department is responsible for delivering remarkable customer service through product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role includes a variety of retail tasks related to products, customer service, and merchandising, and requires collaboration with team members and managers on additional tasks as needed. The posted shift is 1:30 PM–10:00 PM, and weekend availability is required. The position is described as an opportunity to grow and develop within a collaborative, community-focused family company.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Be detail-oriented and organized.
Have strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
Be willing to learn or already familiar with job-specific technology.
Have problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
Be process-driven and able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.

Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products.

Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with customers and maintain a friendly, outgoing attitude through eye contact and body language.
Help customers with questions or direct them to another team member who can assist.
Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
Use technology to complete activities and tasks.
Complete retail tasks related to products, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising.
Collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.
