About The Position
This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and care of landscaping and grounds. The Gardener I will work within the Landscaping and Grounds Department at NECTA. The job requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions to ensure the proper upkeep of the grounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of basic horticultural practices.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to read and understand instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.
- Knowledge of pest and disease control.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
- Plant, water, fertilize, and prune trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Mow lawns, edge walkways, and control weeds.
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the grounds.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
