About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and care of landscaping and grounds. The Gardener I will work under the supervision of a Landscape Supervisor and will be expected to follow established procedures and safety guidelines. This role involves manual labor and operation of various landscaping equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to operate landscaping equipment.
Knowledge of plant care, pest control, and irrigation systems.
Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with specialized landscaping equipment.
Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) techniques.
Basic knowledge of irrigation system repair.

Responsibilities

Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers.
Plant, water, fertilize, and prune trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
Identify and treat pests and diseases affecting plants.
Rake leaves, remove weeds, and keep grounds clean and orderly.
Assist with irrigation system maintenance and repair.
Operate vehicles and equipment safely.
Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
