About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant provides customer service by parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role is focused on delivering a positive, efficient, safe, and secure parking experience, creating a strong impression through friendly and professional interactions with guests and customers.

The schedule is flexible days, 3 p.m.–11 p.m. The attendant maintains vehicle and key organization, provides information about the garage when requested, follows safety procedures, and helps with shift transitions. Additional duties include assigned cleaning and completing damage or accident reports. The role requires maintaining a neatly groomed appearance and meeting uniform and attendance standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English, verbally and in writing; able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Able to smile during customer interactions.
• Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual transmission vehicle.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
• Ability to create relationships with customers and stay organized.
• Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

• Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
• Park customers’ vehicles safely and securely in designated spaces, minimizing the potential for accidents.
• Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
• Provide an exceptional guest experience through positive, friendly interactions.
• Maintain organization at the operation.
• Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic approach.
• Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
• Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
• Provide information about garage hours, rates, and promotions upon request.
• Maintain a neatly groomed appearance and meet uniform standards while on the job premises.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
• Complete damage or accident reports as needed.
