About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service position responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role provides a positive, efficient, safe, and secure parking experience while making a strong impression through friendly, positive interactions with guests and customers. The attendant also helps maintain an organized operation and provides requested information about the garage, including its hours, rates, and promotions.

The schedule is flexible days, 3 p.m.–11 p.m. This is an entry-level position requiring proficient spoken and written English.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to smile during customer interactions.
• Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual-transmission vehicle.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
• Ability to build relationships with customers.
• Organized.
• Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

• Keep the safety of yourself and others in mind at all times.
• Park customers’ vehicles safely and securely in designated parking spots, minimizing the potential for accidents.
• Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
• Provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain organization at the operation.
• Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
• Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
• Provide information about the garage, such as hours of operation, rates, and special promotions, upon request.
• Maintain a neatly groomed appearance and meet uniform standards on the job premises.
• Complete cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
• Fill out damage or accident reports.
