About The Position

Hunter Door, a member of the Guild Garage Group, is seeking personable, mechanically inclined, and motivated Garage Door Technicians & Installers for their Moorestown, NJ location. This role involves the installation of residential garage doors and openers in existing and new construction homes. The position requires significant time spent at job sites or in transit, with responsibilities including customer interaction, vehicle maintenance, product knowledge, and workplace safety. Technicians are the primary point of contact for customers and must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, addressing all customer inquiries truthfully and professionally. The company emphasizes a supportive team culture and provides comprehensive training and tools for success.

Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid NJ driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a standard background check.
Must have manual dexterity for effective and safe use of power tools/hand tools.
Must have good mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to read and write legibly and accurately.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must have basic arithmetic skills for addition and subtraction.
Familiarity with the southern NJ region for efficient travel between jobs.
Ability to handle and schedule multiple tasks within a day.
Ability to remember and follow through with regularly occurring tasks.
Ability to work with others in a positive and productive manner.
Ability to handle stress in a professional and effective manner.
All power tools and hand tools required are the responsibility of the employee.

Responsibilities

Installation of residential garage doors and garage door openers at existing homes and for new construction homes.
Customer interaction to identify installation expectations/requirements and communicate product features and charges.
Review work order/invoice information for accuracy and completeness.
Perform job site clean up.
Identify specific brands of garage doors and garage door openers.
Monitor installation truck inventory and load/unload trucks as needed.
Ensure truck is fueled, serviced, and ready for operation, and report any required vehicle repairs.
Observe all traffic laws, including speed limits, use seatbelts, and refrain from cellular phone use while operating a company vehicle.
Attend and participate in all company information and safety meetings.
Provide assistance and support to other company employees as requested.
Use and communicate via telephone.
Use power tools (impact, drill, etc.) and hand tools.
Climb and work off of a stepladder.
Lift up to 100 pounds.
Work outdoors during all seasons of the year.
