About The Position

Garage Door Doctor is hiring a Garage Door Technician based out of its Indianapolis office. The family-owned company serves Indianapolis and the surrounding metro area with residential, commercial, and industrial garage door installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and opener replacement services. This role suits an experienced technician or a mechanically inclined person eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Training pay is $20–$25 per hour, and expected total compensation is $50,000–$80,000. Candidates must undergo pre-employment background and drug screenings and a motor vehicle record check.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 75 pounds or more, climb ladders, and use hand tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to different situations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screenings and a motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

Support customers with garage door repairs, installations, and troubleshooting while developing job skills.
Provide professional, empathetic, solution-oriented customer service.
Maintain clear and thorough documentation of work performed.

Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards.
