About The Position

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to enable checkout-free parking experiences. The Garage Attendant at The Edition in Miami Beach helps ensure smooth traffic flow, monitor facility capacity, and maintain a clean, professional environment for customers. The role serves as a point of contact for guests and supports efficient facility operations. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. A flexible schedule is preferred, with availability Thursday through Sunday required, primarily for evening shifts.

Requirements

• At least one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and background.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and accurately handle American currency.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, write short correspondence, and present information effectively to customers and team members.
• Availability Thursday through Sunday is required; flexible scheduling is preferred, and shift requirements may include second or third shifts and weekends.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record is required only if expected to drive a company vehicle or conduct company business.
• No high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces and monitor vehicle counts throughout the shift.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in motor carts and issue violation warnings to people who bypass garage policies.
• Assist customers courteously with questions, directions, and locating their vehicles; refer guests to the Facility Manager when specialized assistance is needed.
• Assist with parking equipment repairs and general facility upkeep.
• Immediately report accidents, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences, including oil spills or debris, to the office.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits during peak periods.
• Substitute for Valets when authorized and necessary.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the garage layout and nearby streets, landmarks, and freeways.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the complete company uniform at all times.
