About The Position

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. It operates a parking network with more than 23,000 employees at over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. The Garage Attendant role is located at The Edition in Miami Beach and pays $15.00 per hour. The position supports efficient garage operations by managing traffic and capacity, helping customers, enforcing parking policies, and maintaining a clean and safe facility. A flexible schedule is preferred, but availability from Thursday through Sunday is required, primarily for evening shifts.

Requirements

• At least one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and background.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and accurately handle American currency.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, write short correspondence, and communicate information effectively to customers and team members.
• Availability from Thursday through Sunday is required, primarily for PM shifts; flexibility to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required depending on location.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record is required only if expected to drive a company vehicle or conduct company business.
• Must maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the complete company uniform at all times.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces and monitor vehicle counts to optimize lot usage.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in motor carts and issue violation warnings to customers who bypass garage policies.
• Assist customers with questions, directions, and locating their vehicles; refer guests to the Facility Manager when specialized assistance is needed.
• Assist with parking equipment repairs and general facility upkeep.
• Immediately report accidents, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences, such as oil spills or debris, to the office.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits during peak times.
• Substitute for Valets when authorized and necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of the garage layout and nearby streets, landmarks, and freeways.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the complete company uniform at all times.
