About The Position

The Sunshine House is hiring a GA Pre K Lead Teacher at its Duluth, Georgia location. The teacher helps implement the Georgia Pre-K curriculum and supports children’s safety, education, development, and preparation for kindergarten. The role involves fostering positive relationships with children, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, preparing and carrying out age-appropriate activities, communicating with families, and working as part of a supportive team. Pay is based on the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning state salary schedule, which considers years of experience and education. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule. The Sunshine House provides paid required professional development and supports further education, including CDA and TEACH program opportunities.

Requirements

Passion for working with young children.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working in licensed childcare.
Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor's degree in education or a teaching certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities
