About The Position

As a Future Program Execution Ergonomist, you will identify and resolve ergonomic issues to help reduce injuries and manufacturing inefficiencies on GM’s next-generation vehicles. The role requires working effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborating with engineering disciplines, outside suppliers, and UAW representatives. The position may be filled at either the Future Program Execution Ergonomist or Senior Future Program Execution Ergonomist level, based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience. The role supports launch and pre-production manufacturing ergonomic activities for new and major vehicle programs in Warren and at GM vehicle manufacturing sites across North America. It involves ensuring ergonomic requirements are implemented on new vehicle programs; assessing new product designs; managing issues through resolution; using digital human modeling simulations and vehicle CAD; and leading efforts to improve processes and address ergonomic issues before physical builds. The role also provides status updates and written reports to program and plant leadership and supports manufacturing operations by bringing current plant concerns to design and manufacturing engineers for resolution on future programs. The role is categorized as hybrid. The selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least three times a week, or at another frequency determined by their manager. Travel is required and is expected to be less than 25%. Relocation benefits are available to candidates who qualify under company policy. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
