About The Position

The Furniture Pricer prices and cleans furniture to achieve maximum value and maintains and merchandises furniture, mattresses, and appliances on the sales floor. The position is part-time, located in Loveland, Colorado, and works an evening shift. It reports to the assistant store manager or store manager. The role is non-exempt.

Requirements

• Recognize merchandise quality and price it competitively.
• Use judgment to assess merchandise quality and saleability and determine when to reduce prices.
• Interact effectively with customers and present a positive, courteous company image.
• Write receipts.
• Observe the production process and communicate with the supervisor and team members to keep work moving.

• Ability to work with individuals possessing developmental disabilities.

• Regularly speak, hear, stand, and move throughout the store; constantly stand, bend, stoop, and walk.
• Frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds using upper-body strength, and lift arms to shoulder height or above.
• Use proper equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set weekly department production targets with the assistant manager and work toward reaching them.
• Maintain the target price per item, using the price grid as a guideline.
• Test appliances, price merchandise, and display donated items on the sales floor.
• Keep the furniture area clean and stocked; remove dust, broken items, and non-saleable or damaged goods.
• Provide customers purchasing furniture with a written receipt for the cashier.
• Assist customers with mattress inquiries.
• Accept donations and provide donors with a receipt for tax purposes.
• Keep the work area clean, allowing 10 minutes before quitting time for sweeping and cleanup.
• Perform other duties and special assignments as directed, including assignments outside the primary area of employment.
