Furniture Assembly Technician

About The Position

SFS, Inc. is seeking an independent contractor for ongoing, part-time furniture assembly work in stores and customers’ homes. The work primarily involves assembling ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture. Opportunities may also be available for individuals with experience installing TV wall mounts or assembling gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks. Contractors control when and how much they work and create their own schedules. The role involves following written client instructions, completing and reporting assignments, and traveling to service locations as needed.

Requirements

Merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience.
Ability to assemble products according to clients’ written instructions.
Ability to understand plan-o-grams and independently perform customized category resets.
Ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend and stand for extended periods.
Internet access and an active email address.
Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.
Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

Assemble RTA furniture in stores and customers’ homes according to clients’ written instructions.
Depending on experience and project availability, install TV wall mounts or assemble gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks.
Understand plan-o-grams and independently perform customized category resets.
Report completed client work on the same day as service.
