About The Position

At Everstory Partners, the Funeral Attendant supports families and loved ones during times of loss by assisting the funeral team with transporting individuals into the company’s care and attending services. The role includes maintaining clean facilities, assisting with services, driving vehicles, and helping with certain legal and administrative coordination related to funeral service. Under the supervision of a licensed Funeral Director, the attendant can learn about the industry and work toward a career in death care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in client relations, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
Strong desire to start a career in mortuary science or end-of-life planning.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Valid state driver's license.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere.
Ability to maintain a high degree of concentration and attention for a continuous period.
Ability to occasionally stand or walk and frequently lift or push.
Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain funeral home facilities, including dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning.
Assist with funeral services and visitations by greeting visitors, coordinating pallbearers, and arranging transportation and parking.
Transport individuals with extreme care.
Perform other related functions as assigned.
