About The Position

Aviagen is seeking a Functional Lead Finance to support the Project Team in implementing Microsoft 365 Business Central accounting software across more than 70 Aviagen companies, replacing the current Great Plains Accounting Software. Based in either Edinburgh, UK, or Huntsville, Alabama, the role includes some international travel. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Project Team, supporting local Project Coordinators and finance teams with system setup, testing, and rollout.

Requirements

• Experience using Microsoft Business Central or a similar system.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve objectives.
• Experience training others in a finance environment.
• Excellent communication, change management, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to interact with users from different countries and cultures.
• Positive can-do attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Team and finance teams to support a smooth and effective transition to Business Central.
• Gather requirements for system setup, including local government reporting requirements.
• Define Business Central processes to meet local requirements provided by local Project Coordinators.
• Set up and change the Business Central front-end system to meet group and local requirements.
• Translate business requirements for technical teams and identify solutions.
• Work with local teams to ensure the system is adequately set up, tested, and rolled out.
• Ensure effective communication between local finance teams and the Project Team.
