About The Position

Aviagen is seeking a Functional Lead Finance to support implementation of Microsoft 365 Business Central accounting software across more than 70 Aviagen companies, replacing Great Plains Accounting Software. Based in either Edinburgh, UK, or Huntsville, Alabama, with some international travel, the role is a key member of the Project Team and supports local Project Coordinators through system setup and testing. The position works with the Project Team and finance teams to support a smooth transition to Business Central, configure the system to meet group and local requirements, and help ensure a quality finance system for end users.

Requirements

• Experience using Microsoft Business Central or a similar system.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve objectives.
• Experience training others in a finance environment.
• Excellent communication, change management, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to interact with users from different countries and cultures.
• Positive, can-do attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Team and finance teams to ensure a smooth and effective transition to Business Central.
• Gather requirements for system setup, including local government reporting requirements.
• Define Business Central processes to meet local requirements provided by local Project Coordinators.
• Set up and make changes to the Business Central front-end system to meet group and local requirements.
• Translate business requirements for technical teams and identify solutions.
• Work with local teams to ensure the system is appropriately set up, tested, and rolled out.
• Ensure effective communication between local finance teams and the Project Team.
• Focus on delivering a quality product to finance system end users.
