Functional Business Analyst (SAP FI/CO & MM)
About The Position
The Functional Business Analyst applies finance subject matter expertise in SAP FICO and related business processes, role mapping, and core system authorizations to assist the business with day-to-day operations. The role provides guidance and controls system operations for SAP and related applications to support business operations through optimal services and to support business growth. The analyst acts as a liaison between agency Finance teams and Head Office for support, business analysis, and implementation of finance-related applications. The position supports regional Finance system operations, including localization and regulatory requirements, information integration across Finance systems, regional IT projects, rollouts, fit-gap analysis, user support, authorizations, and employee onboarding for system access.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of strong business analysis experience with system applications in the Finance function.
- Ability to execute system authorization and role-mapping processes.
- Super-user knowledge of SAP ERP FICO.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business leaders on business requirements.
- Strong business analytical skills and creativity in solution design.
- Solution-driven approach and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn, positive approach, and analytical thinking.
Nice To Haves
- Additional super-user knowledge of SAP MM and SD.
- Documentation and process diagram skills.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between agency Finance teams and Head Office for support, business analysis, and implementation of finance-related applications.
- Understand regional country localization and regulatory requirements for Finance in the shipping industry.
- Coordinate information integration between systems within Finance modules.
- Manage regional IT projects for Finance.
- Participate in new rollouts, fit-in activities, and fit-gap analysis.
- Ensure regional employee system authorizations, access, and role mapping are completed on time by coordinating between users and the HQ-IT_AUTH team.
- Support systematic employee onboarding for system access through focused communication.
- Support user activities in SAP and Finance applications.
- Control and manage authorization roles.
- Advise and guide users on appropriate application authorizations.
- Assist with IT budget review and control processes.
