About The Position

The API & Developer Experience team is seeking a Software Developer to build and evolve developer.sas.com, the portal where developers and AI agents discover and use SAS APIs. The team owns the standards, publishing pipeline, and portal for hundreds of SAS Viya APIs, and is preparing the catalog for AI agents through agent-ready discovery, linked Markdown for API operations, MCP and OAuth discovery metadata, and reliable API contracts. The position works in a modern React and Next.js codebase on Azure on a small team whose work ships weekly and serves developers around the world. The developer designs, develops, and tests scalable portal features; builds agent-ready capabilities; and collaborates with designers, content owners, product managers, and API teams. The role owns code across its life cycle, including testing, production support, and improving reliability, performance, accessibility, and observability. It also contributes to project planning, documentation, applicable security processes, and may participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS. SAS emphasizes curiosity, passion, authenticity, accountability, inclusion, and collaboration.
