About The Position

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across backend, frontend, cloud, and DevSecOps technologies. The role is based in Richmond, Virginia, with a hybrid schedule of three days. The assignment is listed as 4–7 months, with a possible extension. Recent former Capital One experience is required.

Requirements

• Recent experience as a former Capital One employee is required.
• Experience with Java, Spring, AWS, and Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience across backend, frontend, cloud, and DevSecOps technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable applications and microservices using Java, Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and modern full-stack solutions.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Use Claude Code and AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, and engineering productivity.
