About The Position

Join Verisk Catastrophe and Risk Solutions as a Full Stack Software Engineer, contributing across the full development lifecycle to create scalable backend services and intuitive user experiences. Requirements

Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and architectural design patterns.
High proficiency in a major modern backend language, such as C#, Java, Python, or Go, and a frontend framework, such as Angular, React, or Vue.
Strong desire to adapt to a new technology stack and proactive interest in how AI tools can enhance developer productivity.
Excellent debugging and code review habits, with the ability to reverse-engineer logic and identify flaws in unfamiliar codebases.

Responsibilities

Design and build robust backend REST services and responsive Angular frontends, with a focus on clean, maintainable architecture.
Learn and adapt to the core .NET, Angular, and AWS stack using team mentorship, structured onboarding, and individual AI productivity aids.
Manage codebases, track changes, and participate in thorough peer code reviews using GitHub.
Experiment with and champion AI tools such as Claude Code to accelerate learning, syntax translation, and test generation.
